Wendy Stoll started with Merakey AVS as the first staff person hired for the newly created Managed Care Coordinator position at the Hummelstown campus. Wendy brought a wealth of knowledge that has benefited both our individuals and staff over the years. While working full time, she went back to school and became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in 2015 and worked at Merakey AVS’s main campus for two years. In 2017, Wendy transferred to our Intermediate Care Facility SFR program and now oversees some of our most medically fragile group homes. Wendy is a true advocate for our individuals - working tirelessly and thinking outside of the box to find solutions to problems that periodically come up. She loves to teach the staff about our individuals and their care; Not just what they must do, but also sharing the “why” so staff have a better understanding of the care our individuals need. Wendy’s coworkers describe her as willing to jump in, knowledgeable, dependable, flexible, a jack of all trades AND master of all, and is known for having some of the best stories to make you laugh.
When not working, Wendy remains busy with her husband Christopher, 3 children, and 2 grandchildren, with a third on the way. Wendy exemplifies Merakey’s Core Values and puts her heart and soul into everything she does so that our individuals can live their lives in the best possible way!
Congratulations, Wendy, for your 20 years of dedicated service!
