The 2022 National Recovery Month theme, “Recovery is For Everyone: Every Person, Every Family, Every Community,” reminds people in recovery and those who support them that no one is alone in the journey through recovery. Everyone's journey is different, but we are all in this together.
And, on August 31, International Overdose Awareness Day was recognized at Merakey Parkside Recovery in Philadelphia. In partnership with Life Tree Pharmacy, staff members distributed 65 NARCAN® kits and valuable resources and information to individuals in service. NARCAN® Nasal Spray is used during emergencies to reverse known or suspected opioid overdose and saves lives.
While August 31 was International Overdose Awareness Day, we are thankful for our team at Merakey Parkside Recovery who work to prevent overdoses every day of the year.
