WE'RE HIRING!

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Day, observed on June 27 every year in the U.S., recognizes the effects of post-traumatic stress on the lives of people. This one-day observance aims to generate awareness of a mental health issue that may develop once a person is exposed to one or more traumatic events. The condition can develop immediately after someone experiences a disturbing event or it can occur at a later stage after weeks, months or even years. If left untreated, PTSD can disrupt the individual’s ability to function at their job, enjoy relationships, focus on their health and participate in everyday activities. Resources for identifying, understanding, and coping with post-traumatic stress disorders are available through Merakey’s Employee Assistance Program.
