WE'RE HIRING!

On June 16, Merakey’s Montgomery County Peer Support Director Brittney Anderson presented at the Pennsylvania Peer Support Coalition Conference (PaPSC) on the topic of Intentional Peer Support (IPS). Intentional Peer Support is a training offered to Peer Specialists worldwide and was founded by Shery Mead. Brittney has been a trainer and advocate for IPS for several years and has hosted multiple trainings, both internally and externally to Merakey. The Merakey Montgomery County Peer Support program has tripled in size over the last six years, and Brittney attributes much of this success to utilizing the IPS framework. IPS allows peers to conduct services in a manner that is recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, promotes diversity, and honors the integrity of the peer support model. We are excited to see how IPS can continue to spread the values of peer support within Merakey!
