Norine Thompson, Tammy Anderson, George Peroni, Jan Harvilla, Carolyn Ging, Tom Ford, Cindy Wiseman, Rozell Burroughs and Karen Miller are among the newest Merakey staff members to receive their NADD-DSP Certification. This group, from Merakey AVS’ Edward J. Zapp and Kennedy Centers, came together to collectively review course materials provided by NADD. They all utilized their first-hand experiences to take a deep dive into the training. Each participant easily surpassed the expectation of more than 1,000 hours required for certification, with an average of 15-years of experience within the group. NADD certification offers a path towards professional advancement and increases the quality of services provided to people at Merakey. Congratulations to all!
Individuals and staff from 11 homes in Central PA celebrated the start of 2022 in style! Each home had a party with games, photo props, delicious meals and many laughs. Thank you to the Walter F. and Ellen H. Nicoden Fund of The Pittsburgh Foundation for funding this event.
