WE'RE HIRING!

Able Lacrosse, a non-profit organization that provides lacrosse opportunities for children of all abilities, stopped by Merakey Education and Autism School in Warrington, PA to give the students a lesson and to demonstrate some lacrosse moves. The students’ teacher, John (middle) also works with Able Lacrosse and participated in the demo with his teammates.

Merakey’s School teaches students the fundamentals of lacrosse each week, learning new skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Able Lacrosse not only uses skills like motor planning, communication, and strength building, but overall, their focus is on having fun. They aim to create a community of inclusion, not a competitive league. Activities are presented in a stress-free environment, so that students experience the feeling of camaraderie that comes from working towards a shared goal.
