The Hummelstown Campus at Merakey AVS has been blessed to have Christine Marie Stapf as their Health Services Supervisor for 22 years! Her love for the residents is unconditional and her desire to do the right thing for each person is the foundation of her years of service. As a supervisor and mentor, she sets a very high standard for others. Her door is always open – with many days having multiple nurses entering her office feeling down. After talking to Christine, getting hugs, and being cheered up, they leave with a smile on their faces. She understands that having a good team means leading by example and being a team player. She doesn’t step back when the going gets tough; Instead, she is willing to work on the floor with her team, look for new ways to do their work, and spends countless, untold hours following up on issues brought to her attention. The past two years have been very challenging as the world has moved through unprecedented times, but Christine has met the challenges head on providing timely information and excellent care to the individuals they serve.
Christine, her husband John and daughter Sarah are active in their local fire company and enjoy their dog, Gunner. Christine enjoys traveling, the Pittsburgh Penguins Hockey Team, live theatre, and the beach (her happy place!) She is an accomplished baker who loves to share her pumpkin/apple pie, a delectable dessert that her co-workers always enjoy!
