It was a wonderful afternoon as 50 Merakey AVS families, friends, and staff gathered for the Western PA AVS Parents Association fall meeting. The Association elected new officers, discussed current processes, and shared a suggestion to change the name to Family Association because of the growing number of siblings and other family members who have become active members.
Merakey AVS staff shared new and exciting updates about programming, campuses, events, and more. A slideshow featuring photos from recent events was played throughout the event for families to see the fun activities that have been taking place since the last meeting. The meeting concluded with The Terrible Towel® wave to cheer on the Pittsburgh Steelers as they played later that day. The next in-person meeting will be held in spring 2024.
