It is with great pleasure to announce Robin VanEerden’s promotion to Executive Director of Clinical Services for IDD Services. In her new role, Robin will provide clinical supervision to the Clinical Directors and teams in New Jersey and Delaware as well as Southeastern, Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania waiver programs and all Safer Living Homes. Robin will continue to lead external consultation services, sexuality assessments and training, as well as work with FASD training and research.

Originally with Merakey when it was NHS from 2000 to 2012, Robin served as Director for Intellectual Disability Services in various areas of Pennsylvania before becoming a Regional Clinical Specialist. She was a part of the development team for the NADD Clinical Certification program and became the first in the nation to receive the NADD Clinical Certification and the NADD Dual Diagnoses Certification. Robin holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources and a Master of Science in Community Counseling.

After becoming a licensed professional Counselor, with multiple certifications in counseling and assessments, she gained experience with private practice therapy and worked as a Clinical Director for the PA Office of Developmental Programs (ODP). In 2018 Robin returned to Merakey as a Clinical Director where she has since won the Earl L. Loschen Award for Clinical Practice in recognition of her outstanding therapy skills and her many contributions to the dual diagnoses field of Intellectual and Developmental Disability and co-occurring mental illness (IDD/MI). Robin will continue to report to the Senior Executive Director of Clinical Services, maintaining clinical support to the Intermediate Care Facilities (ICFs) in PA, and to the regions in Virginia and California.
