The Third Annual Edward J. Zapp Center Holiday Light-Up Night was held in early December. More than 30 Merakey AVS homes visited during the two-night event. Letters to Santa were collected in a magical mailbox at the start of the drive-thru. Vehicles then proceeded through the festive lights and holiday displays that included characters created by each home, decorative windows, holiday figures, a festive train, and a glowing cookie oven. Holiday music played throughout the event and was live streaming for all the homes to enjoy. Santa arrived to greet each vehicle, deliver personalized gifts, and to share good cheer. Before departing, homemade cookies were given to all.
A sincere thank you to the fantastic Zapp program staff for organizing and setting up the event, weathering the cold and wind to secure and rescue decorations, baking cookies, buying gifts, and for providing a holiday activity for all to enjoy.
