Baking Cookies at Edward J. Zapp Center

Staff members at the Edward J. Zapp Center put together a fun-filled summer camp with t-shirt painting, game booths, a dance party, BINGO, root beer floats and more. Zapp was decorated to look like a camp site with faux trees, campfires, tents, and wildlife. The camp was planned for a full week so that small groups could attend daily. It was a great way to celebrate the end of the summer season. A huge THANK YOU to the dedicated program staff who coordinated, created, and implemented this wonderful event. A fantastic time was had by all!

Program Instructors Mary Loos and Nikita Flowers held a weeklong Luau for the individuals at Slippery Rock. The week was filled with all sorts of Hawaiian-themed activities, including Hawaiian Dress-Up Relays, Flamingo Ring Toss, and Hawaiian crafts and music. The individuals really enjoyed these special activities and especially enjoyed the delicious Hawaiian treats. Not only was it a fun activity for the summer, but the Luau event gave everyone the opportunity to learn about Hawaiian history and culture.
