Congratulations to Madge Dombrosky on her upcoming retirement at the end of March. Madge has been employed with Merakey for an incredible 37 years, and has worked in several positions including Behavior Specialist, Staff Development and Training Coordinator for Lackawanna and Susquehanna IDD programs, and Program Specialist for Behavior Support Program and Staff Development. She has been part of the organization’s name changes throughout the years, including Northwestern Human Services, NHS Human Services, NHS, and now Merakey. She’s also worked in Tri Valley Care, another entity of the organization. For the past 10 years she has been Director for the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Program at Merakey Northeastern PA (NEPA) in Carbondale, PA.
Madge is a compassionate employee who puts her heart and soul into her job every day. She has been very active in the trauma informed care group and day program group, always going above and beyond in all she does daily!
Madge has always put the individuals served and her colleagues first, and she will be greatly missed by everyone at Merakey.
