Congratulations to Cameron, a participant in Merakey’s Stepping Stones Plus program in McMurray, PA on graduating from high school! “Cam” as he is known to peers and staff at Merakey will be attending Slippery Rock University in Butler County, PA in the fall. While he is still undecided about his major, he is hoping to study in the hospitality field. Merakey staff will miss Cam’s smile, wit, and humor, but they are so proud of his achievements and wish him the best of luck in this next chapter of his life!
Cam enrolled in the Stepping Stones program in May 2019, and he will be successfully discharged prior to his first day of college. Cam’s mom and friend attended his high school graduation and reflected on his experiences in the Stepping Stones Program:
“I am so proud of our Cameron. He has worked so hard to get here. I honestly thought he may go into a field to help kids with disabilities because he is so good with the other kids but we just have to wait and see. This is absolutely a celebration for all of the Stepping Stones Plus staff as well because we wouldn't be where we are without all of you. Thank you so much!”
