On Friday April 28, Merakey staff from the Police Assisted Diversion (PAD) program and the Crisis Intervention Response Team (CIRT) partnered with the Police Athletic League and the Philadelphia Police Department to play in a basketball game in a Youth Violence Prevention event. The basketball game helps foster relationships between local students and police as a part of National Youth Violence Prevention Week. Eric Shimoyama from CIRT and Ray Inchautegui from PAD both showed exceptional athleticism in the game and represented Merakey well!
