Merakey had an amazing time participating in – and serving as a sponsor of - the Pocono Pride festival in Stroudsburg, PA on June 4! Recruiting and program staff members Sue Bronski, Andrew Davidson, and Kelly Smaligo were stationed at Merakey’s table promoting our services, job opportunities, and DEI efforts. They spoke to scores of attendees, gave away Merakey promo items, shared marketing materials, and even held a raffle at the event.
The staff remarked how wonderful it was to hear so many stories from the attendees as well as share Merakey's Purpose with so many people. Children and Family Services Recruiter Kelly Smaligo said, “Some of the most touching moments were hearing from people who have been considering therapy but were hesitant about finding someone who would accept them for who and where they are in their journey. Many folks said they were so pleased to see us there and I was proud to be a part of an organization that provides a safe place for everyone. We were also visited by some current Merakey clients and employees who were excited and appreciative to see Merakey supporting their community.”
