Merakey Philadelphia is excited to announce that we have been awarded $2 million in supplemental funding from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to support a pilot program expanding Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) services to Kensington—one of Philadelphia’s most impacted areas by homelessness and addiction. This pilot is viewed as a national model for supporting individuals through a CCBHC with Substance Use supports at its core. The initiative will provide critical substance use and mental health treatment and recovery supports to help individuals transition off the streets and into essential care. In partnership with SAMHSA, Merakey Philadelphia is well-positioned to advance the Administration’s goal to address the devastating impact that substance use, mental Illness, and homelessness can have on our communities.
Merakey thanks SAMHSA for this award and for this opportunity to implement a model of care that meets the moment and builds the future.
