Merakey Highpoint Foster Care has made a beautiful connection with many Keystone Family Alliances. Clarion/Jefferson KFA has been instrumental in meeting the needs of many of our families with items such as brand-new electric stoves, bunk beds, strollers, highchairs, clothing, cases of diapers, wipes, backpacks, etc. In return, Highpoint's Family Engagement Specialist has been volunteering time helping to organize donated clothing and items as well as gathering items and sponsoring games for the Annual KFA Stand Sunday Kids' Carnival. The free carnival is a great way to learn about KFA and how the community serves our most vulnerable children and families. Many agencies and non-profits are represented at the event including Merakey Foster Care.
The Highpoint Foster Care crew also took time this month to use their zoo passes. They enjoyed the animals, scenery, and activities of the attractions while taking advantage of the outdoor atmosphere. Many families have used their passes multiple times and extend appreciation for the opportunities provided for all.
