Philadelphia’s Evidence Based Practice and Innovation Center (EPIC) held their 10th anniversary celebration recently and recognized Merakey’s Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) teams in Philadelphia, Montgomery County, and Delaware County. The teams won the EPIC Teamwork Award in ‘Recognition of Outstanding Teamwork in Evidence-Based Practice Implementation.’ The Evidence-Based Practice Program (EBP) teams offer individual and group DBT services as part of the Mental Health Outpatient Programs in Southeastern PA. This award is an especially remarkable accomplishment given the complexity of the therapeutic approach and intensity of the services provided by these teams. Such a feat wouldn’t be possible without a dedicated group of clinicians and supervisors who are committed to providing exceptional care to a very vulnerable population. Congratulations to our DBT staff members!
