Pirates Games
Individuals from Merakey AVS Slippery Rock area have been attending Pirates games whenever they are able. Dawn and Freddie from the Kiester 1 SFR are always happy to cheer on their favorite team. Louis from Branchton joined in the fun outing, and not only did he get to go to the game with a friend, but he was also given a game ball from the Pirates' staff. Our folks have been making great memories this summer.
Girls Night Bowling
Set ‘em up and knock ‘em down! Janna, Genny, and Wendy got things rolling during their Girls Night at the bowling alley.
Last Days of Summer
The ladies from Ewings Mill I made the most of the final days of summer. They recently visited Hopewell Park and had a blast exploring the playground and strolling around the pond. Highlights included the accessible carousel, adaptive swings, and a communication symbol board – it was so cool to see the inclusive features in action! Kelly loved watching the swans glide across the lake, while Linda couldn’t get enough of spinning on the playground seat and soaking up the sunshine. Most of the crew enjoyed the swings so much, they went back for a second time.
Erie Zoo Visit
The ladies from the Kiester 1 Home had a great time at Erie Zoo. They spent the day viewing the various animal habitats and marveling at the different creatures. They all seemed to love watching the orangutan and its silly antics. Afterward, they enjoyed going out to eat together.
Put the I in KIND
Individuals from Merakey New Ventures Portage collaborated on a special “Put the I in KIND” hallway display. The individuals took turns placing their painted handprint on the large display, making it a one-of-a-KIND piece of artwork for the day program.
