Goat Snuggling Event
Merakey SMC/Lehigh held a Goat Snuggling Event for individuals to enjoy a day of fun wellness activities along with goat snuggles. Attendees had the pleasure of spending time with Forest, Hopscotch (three-legged goat), Mallory, and Missy from Steinmetz Family Farm. The individuals absolutely loved getting to pet and cuddle the goats and enjoyed a pizza party as well. The event was a huge success, and the group hopes to have another one soon.
DSP Week
Merakey SMC/Lehigh celebrated a week of fun activities for Direct Support Professional Week. To celebrate, staff enjoyed breakfast sweets and goodies along with daily live raffle drawings to win various prizes. Each staff member also got a gift bag containing candy, a letter of appreciation, and Merakey Swag. It was a great week spending time with Merakey’s wonderful staff and appreciating all that they do!
Fair and Phipps
The ladies from Merakey Patterson enjoyed a few outings recently. They spent a fun evening at the Hookstown Fair and took in the plants and flowers at Phipps Botanical Gardens.

It's the start of hockey season! Tess and Susan cheered on the Pittsburgh Penguins during their preseason win against the Buffalo Sabres.
Here We Go Steelers
Steelers fans across the Edward J. Zapp Center celebrated the start of football season with a Terrible Towel party filled with fight songs, cake, and plenty of black and gold spirit. It was a fun-filled celebration of Steelers pride and the excitement of another football season.
Hopewell Park
Mike, Anthony, Bill, and Jason from Windy Ghoul enjoyed a relaxing day at Hopewell Park, watching birds and ducks and taking in the sights and sounds at the park.
Gateway Clipper
The Pittsburgh Campus Consumer Advocacy Group spent the afternoon at a Jazz Luncheon on the Gateway Clipper. A group of 25 individuals and staff enjoyed live jazz music, scenic city views, and an afternoon cruising on Pittsburgh's three rivers.
Cap Region DSP Week
Merakey’s Capital Region celebrated DSP week earlier this month by handing out Merakey backpacks along with lots of sweet treats. It was great to see so many staff members receive some well-earned recognition.
