Happy Birthday Evelyn
Evelyn enjoyed celebrating her birthday this past weekend with staff and friends. She had a great day and wanted to thank everyone who came to celebrate with her. Evelyn also took a special birthday trip to Dave and Busters for some games and fun.
Living Treasures
The guys from Merakey Robinson Home spent a fun day at Living Treasures Animal Park.
Senators Game
The ladies from 840 Middletown Road, Tracy, Kristen, Katie, and Angela enjoyed a warm evening together watching the Senators take the field. They loved being close to the action, following the highs and lows of the game. It was a fun night filled with baseball, smiles, and great memories.
Celebrating DSP Week
Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Central PA are being celebrated throughout DSP Recognition Week with special treats, thoughtful messages, and plenty of appreciation. Thank you to all our DSPs for the compassion, dedication, and support you provide every day. We are grateful for everything you do!
End of Summe at Crestview
It’s been a busy end of summer for everyone at Merakey Crestview. Individuals enjoyed a fun-filled day at Living Treasures Animal Park, outdoor crafting, and plenty of other activities. They also got into the spirit of the upcoming Steelers football season.
Teresa has been staying active, too, with visits to the local YMCA where she’s been enjoying time on the exercise bike. What a fun way to wrap up the summer.
Happy Birthday Patty
Happy 80th Birthday, Patty! Patty celebrated her special day with a fun, purple-themed party surrounded by friends at Merakey Hummelstown Campus. There were purple decorations, treats, and thoughtful gifts, making it a wonderful way to celebrate 80 amazing years.
Baltimore Aquarium
Carol recently enjoyed a bus trip to the Baltimore Aquarium, where she saw various types of aquatic animals. She loved getting to see so many creatures swimming around her.
Eugene Colorful Flowers
Eugene, an individual who resides at Verree Road in Philadelphia, recently completed a home visit with his mother. With the help of an amazing Merakey AVS staff, Eugene selected colorful flowers to give to his mother upon arrival. Judging by the look on their faces, both his presence and the flowers brought smiles all around. Following the visit, pictures taken of the day were placed into a collage and framed for Eugene and his mom to proudly display.
Leo Celebrates Patty's Birthday
The monthly Canine Assisted Therapy visit at the Verree Road campus in Philadelphia coincided with Patty’s birthday celebration. Patty, a lover of all animals, was thrilled to spend some one-on-one time with Leo as well as Occupational Therapist Meranda Love. Leo and Meranda' s visits provide the campus with social interaction, physical activity, cognitive engagement, an abundance of tail-wagging and smiles.
