Jimmy from Robinson home at Merakey AVS and staff member Bobbi visited Hippley Garden in Columbiana, OH where they spent the day walking through the beautiful gardens.
Kevin, Billy, and staff members Beth and Susan took a week-long Midwest road trip to Fort Wayne, IN, Chicago, IL and Indian River, Mackinac Island, and Frankenmuth in Michigan. During the trip they saw farms, cornfields, sunsets and horses. They took carriage rides, ferry rides, river ride tours, and visited a large Christmas store and Millennium Park. It was a very memorable trip!
The gentlemen from Robinson home at Merakey AVS enjoyed time at Bradys Run Park. Tim and Regis relaxed on the footbridge and listened to the waterfall, birds and children playing. Dan was focused on the walk by the pond where he spotted several ducks, a few boats and pedestrians who were walking their dogs. Harry enjoyed walking on the path, smiling and greeting individuals as they passed by. Petie was excited to see many people fishing and expressed that he had a wonderful time. All the guys were thrilled to see a peer fishing and enjoying the afternoon as well.
Slippery Rock Program Aide Ashley Sutton took a small group to Emmett’s Orchard in Grove City for Community Participation. The group enjoyed picking apples and visiting the horses. They plan to use the apples to bake delicious treats. After their trip to the orchard, they met with their friend John for lunch at Grove City Park. After lunch, everyone split up again to enjoy the park and the gorgeous weather.
A Slippery Rock Program Instructor recently took her area to Buhl Park in Hermitage, PA, where they enjoyed walking the trails and observing nature. They also played games and enjoyed a picnic lunch. Everyone has been having fun and being outdoors in the beautiful weather
