It was a great weekend at Hershey Park for a few of the ladies from the Pittsburgh Campus Lower Memory Care Home. They were joined by staff members Loryn and Clarice for a fun trip filled with games, eating, and shopping – but their favorite part was the water park!
The residents from Merakey AVS’s Robinson Smart Home recently took a vacation to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. They rented a roomy log cabin in the heart of the Smoky Mountains and enjoyed a vacation packed with activities. They visited Ripley's Aquarium, toured the Hollywood Wax Museum, enjoyed Dolly Parton's Stampede dinner show, spent time at a petting zoo, rode through the Smokey Mountains in a UTV, dined at different restaurants in the area, and so much more. Participants said they had the best time and can't wait to do it again!
On Wednesday, August 30, Merakey AVS Slippery Rock Program Center celebrated the end of summer with a building-wide picnic at Grove City Memorial Park. Individuals and staff participated in various activities such as nature walks, fishing, wiffle ball, frisbee golf, and looking at the fish in the pond. A stray shower did not dampen anyone’s spirits as they enjoyed a delicious picnic lunch. After lunch everyone participated in an acoustic Tony Tunes concert using Boom Whackers to keep the beat. A good time was had by all.
