Nolte and Oakhaven at Kennywood
It was a fun-filled day at Kennywood for groups from Oakhaven, Nolte, Nyetimber, and Great Oaks. From classic favorites like the Whip and the Music Express to thrills on Alien Invasion, there was something for everyone. Of course, no Kennywood adventure is complete without some sweet treats and favorite snacks. And the day got even better when everyone met Kenny the Kangaroo! It was a day full of rides, laughter, treats, and great memories.
PGH Celebrates America's 250th
Merakey AVS’s Pittsburgh Campus celebrated America’s 250th birthday last month with a fun-filled picnic and foam party. It was a great day filled with sunshine, laughter, and plenty of fun.
A Tattoo for Wendy
Wendy has been wanting a tattoo for some time and recently made her dream a reality. She considered tattoo placement and carefully selected the perfect design to fit her vision. She was so excited to finally get her beautiful floral tattoo.
Kennedy SR Zapp at Kennywood
Nearly 100 individuals and staff from the Kennedy, Slippery Rock, and Edward J. Zapp Centers had an amazing day making memories at Kennywood. From thrilling rides and delicious treats to lots of laughs, it was a wonderful day filled with fun, friendship, and plenty of smiles. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this trip possible, especially the amazing medical team: Emily Wise, Allison Miller, and Tammy Murphy. What a great day to remember!
Ted and John at Kennywood
Ted D. from the Kiester 2 House near Slippery Rock has been having a fantastic summer. Kennywood is Ted’s favorite place, and he got to visit the park again with his friend John S. from the Harmony House. Both guys enjoyed riding the rides, people watching, and enjoying amusement park food.
Slippery Rock Football
Slippery Rock Program Instructor Bob Graziani took "Coach Rob" to Slippery Rock University to give a pep talk to this year's football team on their first day of practice. Rob and Bob toured the locker room where the team gave him a new Slippery Rock Football shirt.
Rob plans on attending some games to cheer on his favorite team. He is excited to see them play this season.
McConnell's Mills
Clark M. and Amy A. from the Slippery Rock Program Center took a day trip to McConnell's Mills. They enjoyed hiking a few of the trails and watching the rapids near the mill. They also took a walk through the covered bridge. Amy took some pictures while Clark enjoyed just looking at the scenery. They had a nice picnic lunch there, too. It was a great way to spend a beautiful day.
