Wave Pool

Jana and Liz from Oakhaven home recently cooled off at the Settlers Cabin Wave Pool in Pittsburgh. The weather has been so hot and it was wonderful to enjoy some time in the water.

Hopewell Park

The guys from Countryview home had a fantastic day at Hopewell Park, where they enjoyed a picnic lunch, played games, sang songs, and spent time fishing. One of the highlights of the day was when Ryan and staff member Bob Perrine reeled in a large catfish.

Carnegie Museum Visit

The Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh has been a popular destination this summer! Recently, the ladies from Coleman home and the guys from Wildwood home enjoyed memorable outings to the cultural spot.

Art Exchange

Individuals at the Slippery Rock Program Center worked together and expressed their creative side to create artwork using pool noodles. They then took their artwork to the Addison of Glen-Moore senior facility to exchange artwork that people who reside there created. Everyone had a good time visiting and getting to know each other, enjoying cupcakes and conversation, and hoping to see each other soon. They hope to meet again someday.

Picnic and Tie Dye Party

Program Instructors Danielle Mitchell and Bob Graziani held a picnic and tie dye party in their area. The temperature was too hot to dine outdoors, so they stayed inside. Everyone helped make brownies and macaroni salad while staff grilled the hot dogs. After they finished eating, they tie dyed a t-shirt. Everyone had a great time and loved their unique shirts.

Day at Pymatuning Spillway

The guys from Evergreen and Windy Ghoul homes enjoyed a beautiful day at the Pymatuning Spillway, where they fed the ducks and fish.

Funnel Cake Treats

Volunteers from Our Lady of Grace Church continued their cherished summer tradition of making funnel cakes for individuals and staff at the Pittsburgh Campus. The homemade treats were a hit with everyone!
