Fellows Riverside Gardens

A Program Aide from Slippery Rock Program Center brought some of the individuals in her class to Fellows Riverside Gardens in Youngstown, OH. They liked looking at the variety of plants and 15 different works of art. Everyone enjoyed their lunch and the lovely weather, while sitting in a beautiful gazebo.

Bowling

The guys from the Branchton SFR enjoyed a day of bowling at Coffaro’s Pizza in Slippery Rock, PA. Eric and Louis tried to outdo each other with all their strikes and spares. They both did very well and had lots of fun.

Fun Fore ALL

The guys at Willow Acres SFR enjoyed going to Fun Fore All in Cranberry, PA. They played a few rounds of miniature golf and arcade games and ate pizza. They had a great time.

Heinz History Center

Arlene, Heather, Mary, and Pam from Coleman home recently visited the Heinz History Center to explore Pittsburgh’s rich history, its sports teams, and notable historical figures from the region.

Sensory Garden

Now that the weather is getting warmer, the staff and individuals at the Slippery Rock Program Center have reopened the Sensory Garden. A lot of hard work goes into getting it ready for the season. There have been shopping trips to pick out new flowering and vegetable plants. Some help by weeding, some help plant, and a few enjoy sprucing up the decorations by giving them a fresh coat of paint. Everyone was proud of their contributions to making it beautiful. The Sensory Garden is the Crown Jewel of the Slippery Rock Program Center, and a lovely place to be in the warm weather.
