Basketball Tournament

Jonathan from Wildwood home joined Kenny and Eric from Fox home for an exciting day of basketball, great games, and plenty of concession stand favorites at the Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Tournament in Pittsburgh. The guys had an awesome time soaking in the action and atmosphere.

A big thank-you to staff members Christian Cuspard and Travis Bulat from Fox for supporting the group and helping make it a memorable experience.

St. Patrick’s Day Celebration

Friends recently came together for a fun-filled St. Patrick’s Day celebration.

Matt, Louis, John, and Eric from Branchton home, along with Jim, Charlie, and Lowell from Butler CLA, and staff members Kelly A., Kelly S., Jess, Becca, Nicole, and Bre, created a lively mix of everyday friendships, and even some brand-new ones.

The celebration kept growing as more friends joined from Nyetimber, Nolte, and Great Oaks homes, truly making it a “the more, the merrier” kind of day. Many wore matching shirts and brought festive accessories like green beads, glasses, and headbands to get into the spirit of the holiday.

There was no shortage of laughs, shenanigans, and even a little luck on the lanes. Some danced along to the jukebox, everyone enjoyed pizza, and the group hit the jackpot with green cupcakes for dessert. As they say, it’s a small world – Kevin from the Nyetimber home once lived with John and Eric over 20 years ago!

Everyone is already looking forward to the next get-together. Who knows what this adventurous group will do next.

Easter Bunny Visit

The ladies from the 4th Street home at Schuylkill Mountain Center had a delightful visit with the Easter Bunny and received a commemorative photo.

Painting with Baby Goats

A small group of individuals from the Slippery Rock Program Center went to a special painting session at Steele's Brushes and Ceramics in Butler County, PA. Not only did they create beautiful works of art by painting, but they did it with baby goats. Everyone had a great time letting their creativity flow and interacting with the goats. Mark kept exclaiming, "Look at those baby goats, they are nice baby goats!" A few people wanted to take the cuddly creatures home with them. Everyone agreed it was their favorite painting class.

Aviary Visit

The guys from Hookstown home had a fun-filled, feathered day visiting the National Aviary in Pittsburgh.

James H

James, an individual who receives supports at the Slippery Rock Program Center, has worked at McDonald's for about 10 years. He currently works three days a week and takes great pride in the work he does. He likes making sure the restaurant always looks its best when he isn't busy helping prepare orders. His supervisor, Diana said, "James is an excellent worker. We need more people like him." Everyone at the Slippery Rock Program Center is proud of James.
