CalABA annual conference
Merakey’s IDD Clinical Team attended the CalABA annual conference in Pasadena, CA and was a bronze sponsor of the event. Executive Director Karly Marriot, PhD, BCBA reported that it was a great event that included learning, sharing. and networking.

Mattress Factory
Wendy from Nolte home explored her creative side at the Mattress Factory Contemporary Art Museum in Pittsburgh.
Team Building
Director Jennifer Uslenghi from Merakey AVS in Philadelphia came up with a plan to bring co-workers together for a day of team building. Staff member Tabitha Johnson executed the plan by having different events throughout the day and night. All shifts participated and each staff member was given a Merakey sweatshirt as a token of appreciation. Everyone enjoyed playing Price Is Right Verree Road Edition and Family Feud along with different ice breaking challenges. There was also a presentation of different countries and their cultures through colorful clothes and delicious food.
Amy's Hibachi Birthday
Amy enjoyed a night out in the backyard with her staff and a peer for her birthday. She had a hibachi birthday party with a trained hibachi chef onsite. The chef gave a great performance and prepared delicious food. Amy was very happy to celebrate her birthday with her favorite foods.
SRPC Mardi Gras
Slippery Rock Program Center Program Instructor Cindy Solman held a Mardi Gras party for her area. Everyone had a great time making masks, watching short videos about Mardi Gras, and eating King’s Cake. They also participated in some Mardi Gras themed games
Kennedy Program Center Mardi Gras
The individuals and staff at the Kennedy Program Center celebrated Mardi Gras by parading through the halls while accompanied by lively jazz music.
Valentine's Day
The Pittsburgh Campus at Merakey AVS was filled with love as they celebrated Valentine's Day with a special dance and some fun activities. The American Pie Band kept the crowd energized as everyone hit the dance floor.
Dr. Seuss Day
The Hummelstown Campus was buzzing with excitement as everyone celebrated Dr. Seuss Day on March 2. They colored pictures and created crafts inspired by Dr. Seuss’s beloved books.
