Welcome New Team

Even though Pittsburgh has had tremendous amounts of snow in the past few weeks, the cold weather didn’t stop the Pittsburgh team from giving a warm welcome to the new hires at Merakey Allegheny Valley School. The training team has recently grown and includes Liz (consumer), Lori Schibner, Judi Walls (new Staff Development Facilitator), Camille Pinno, Carol Erzen, Dawn Schibner, and Letetia Loftis (new Training Operations Coordinator). Welcome, ladies!

Franklin on Ice

A group from the Slippery Rock Program Center went to Franklin on Ice to check out the various ice sculptures and were amazed at the size of them. Individuals were able to hold a couple of them and found out that ice can be heavy. A few brave folks tried the ice slides, and everyone had a wonderful time

Super Bowl Party

On February 6, the Slippery Rock Program Center held a Super Bowl Party. Some folks were rooting for the New England Patriots while others were rooting for the Seattle Seahawks. Even though the crowd was divided, there was one thing everyone was rooting for: Super Bowl snacks! The individuals had a great time making football crafts, playing indoor football, and participating in football trivia.

Winter Visits

Liz has been shaking off the winter blues with visits to some of her favorite local spots like Anchor and Anvil Coffee Bar, 3Rivers Go Cart, and the McKees Rocks Library.
