Windy Ghoul Activities
William, Jason, Lucas, and Anthony from Windy Ghoul home continue to stay busy this holiday season. They took a festive trip to Beaver Valley Mall to shop for Christmas gifts and made gingerbread houses with staff members Lisa, Julie, and Shyanne.
McKees Rocks Rotary Club Visit
The Greater McKees Rocks Rotary Club spread some holiday cheer at Merakey AVS’s Kennedy Program Center. Members brought gifts, helped open presents, and spent time visiting each classroom. A huge thank you to everyone who purchased gifts and joined the celebration, and special thanks to Classroom 4 for sharing a wonderful holiday poem.
Happy Birthday Liz
Liz from Oakhaven home celebrated her birthday in style with a Christmas pajama party. She was also joined by housemates Tess and Janna for a fun afternoon exploring the beautiful holiday displays at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Pittsburgh.
Trip to Steubenville
Kathy and Denise from Crestview home enjoyed a trip to Steubenville, OH to visit the home of Dean Martin and explore the charming Nutcracker Village.
Women’s Club Christmas Party
Wendy and Kevin attended the Raccoon Women’s Club Annual Christmas party and had a wonderful time. They received presents, enjoyed lunch, and joined in on all the holiday activities.
Coraopolis Community Food Drive
Roni from the Pittsburgh Campus wanted to give back this season. With the help of Assistant Program Director Linda Adkins, they organized a food drive to support the Coraopolis Community Food Bank.
Cookie Party
A sweet time was had by all as individuals from Nolte, Oakhaven, Nyetimber, and Ewings Mill 2 homes gathered for a cookie party. Cookie trays were made with care and taken home to share with friends.
