Green Gardens House Party
The Green Garden ladies didn’t let a snowstorm stop their Christmas house party. While some family members had to cancel because of the weather and were truly missed, the ladies still enjoyed a great night filled with amazing food, thoughtful gifts, and lots of laughter.
Gingerbread Day
Merakey AVS Pittsburgh Campus Classroom 4 celebrated National Gingerbread Day by making some very festive houses.
Penguins Game
Jessica, Rusty, and staff members Trina Hall and Susan White cheered on the Pittsburgh Penguins at their Star Wars-themed game on December 11.
Dave & Buster’s
The ladies at Patterson home enjoyed a fun outing to Dave & Buster’s, filled with games, laughter, and great memories.
Andy Warhol Museum
Individuals and staff from Coleman home enjoyed a visit to the Andy Warhol Museum, and even got a photo with Andy Warhol’s nephew, Donald Warhol!
Light Up Night
Patricia Hillman Miller Campus had their Annual Light Up Night on December 10 where everyone gathered to celebrate the holiday season. The Sensory Garden was decorated with such great care because St. Nick was there! Clients activated switches to light up the whole garden while festive carols were sung. Friends and family explored the garden lights on their way into the program department for ornament decorating, hot cocoa, and festive activities.
Congratulations Monica!
On December 11, Monica Hall celebrated her 36th Work Anniversary with Merakey Allegheny Valley School. She is someone who has truly immersed herself in bettering the lives of the individuals she supports. Over these 36 years, she has risen through the ranks and currently serves as the Director of ICF (Intermediate Care Facility) Day Programs in Southeastern PA.
When she’s not being the Grinch for the holidays, she plays organ at Church and cares for family members.
Monica is a diehard Lakers Fan which anyone can tell by entering her office. Congratulations, Monica!
