Merakey individual David recently took a trip to the Hershey Chocolatier where he tried chocolate BBQ wings. He absolutely loved the wings and the sweet experience.
Merakey AVS at 1996 Ewings Mill Road held their holiday party this week in the only area large enough to fit everyone – the garage! The group had lunch and played a grab bag game with dice to exchange gifts with each other. Thank you to Executive Assistant Deb Parent for planning the party and making the event such a success.
Merakey AVS in Hummelstown held a Breakfast with Santa event on December 7. Employees and their children and grandchildren were invited to enjoy breakfast catered by Whitsons Culinary Group. Just as breakfast finished, Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived from the North Pole and brought gifts for all the children. Special thank you to Assistant Health Services Supervisor, Teresa Wilkins (Mrs. Claus) and her husband, David Wilkins (Santa), Whitsons’ staff, and Merakey AVS staff who all made the event merry and bright.

Dr. Daniel Ferguson is retiring as the Slippery Rock Program Center’s (SRPC) Primary Care Physician, where he has worked with Merakey AVS individuals for 15 years. SRPC staff members held a special lunch for Dr. Feguson to thank him for his dedication throughout the years, and he was presented with homemade cards from many of the individuals he treated. He spoke to everyone about how much he has enjoyed providing physician services to the individuals in the Slippery Rock area for all these years.
