Wellness Session
The Merakey AVS Philadelphia Campus welcomed Tish Mitrentsis of The Mitrentsis Group for an energizing wellness session. Through movement, mindfulness, and balance, Tish reminded the group that wellness isn’t a luxury – it’s essential to how we show up for those we serve. We’re excited to continue this partnership and keep wellness at the heart of our mission.
Board Games Cafe
Liz and Janna had a great time at Doubles Board Games Café in Ohio enjoying sweet treats and board games.
Decorating for Christmas
The Food Prep group from Edward J. Zapp Center traveled to Clinton Park to decorate the Merakey Christmas tree. Everyone jumped right into their roles and worked together beautifully.
The team gathered ornaments in Merakey’s signature colors, making sure there was a bright and meaningful display. Darlene and Lisa got straight to work unraveling the lights, while Anna selected the perfect star for the top of the tree. Dan took charge of supervising and held onto the tools needed to secure each decoration. Linda and Rose focused on hanging the bulbs, filling in any empty spots to make the tree look full and festive.
There was plenty of laughter as everyone admired the other decorated trees throughout the park. For the finishing touch, they added curled ribbon in alternating colors for a cheerful look. Once everything was complete, the group gathered for a group photo to celebrate a job well done!
Halloween Party
Individuals at Verree Road in Philadelphia enjoyed going off campus with staff and peers to the Annual Halloween celebration at The Carousel House in Philadelphia. In an exciting turn of events, they took home a win for best dressed/best costumes.
