Christmas at SRPC

Spirits were bright at the Slippery Rock Program Center on the days leading up to Christmas. Excitement filled the air as the individuals and staff decorated for their Christmas party. A surprise visit from Frosty the Snowman started the festivities. Everyone enjoyed the ham dinner, anticipating Santa's arrival with Jingles the Elf shortly after. Cheers could be heard throughout the building as Santa's bell rang out while he boomed, "Ho, Ho, Ho!" Excitement was at a fever pitch as Santa visited everyone. Each individual received a gift before Santa had to make his way back to the North Pole wishing everyone, “Merry Christmas to all!”

No Place Like Home

The individuals at Verree Road in Philadelphia enjoyed a variety of activities throughout December. The theme of the month "There's No Place Like Home,” is how the residents truly feel at Verree Road. Employees felt proud to take on an extra job this month, and that job was to spread cheer. Everyone was very happy to meet Santa, his elf, and special guest Dorothy.

Nolte Winter Activities

Cierra, Genny, and Wendy from Nolte home along with Program Manager Susan White and Program Lead Samye Williams have been enjoying winter activities around Pittsburgh. They visited Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Garden’s Holiday Magic display, took in the sites of the city from Mt. Washington, and walked through the Pittsburgh Botanical Garden’s Dazzling Nights display. It was a wonderful season of pretty sights, welcoming sounds, and lots of on-the-go hot cocoa.
