When John L. first moved into the Amparo Enhanced Behavioral Supports Home (EBSH) program in California from Fairview Development Center in 2019, he wouldn't keep anything in his room besides his mattress and destroyed many of his personal items. Slowly he began to allow items to remain in his room, one of the first items being a small tv placed high on the wall where he couldn't knock it down. Fast forward 5 years and today John's room is full of items that he loves, including Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls, which are his favorite. For his 70th birthday, John was gifted a brand-new big screen TV for his bedroom. He is so excited to start watching his favorite Christmas and postman videos! John is such a fun addition to the Amparo home, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JOHN!
