On November 19, the 39th District Police Advisory Council (PDAC), in collaboration with Merakey and local organizations planned a heartfelt turkey basket distribution event for the residents of Bristol Street in the Nicetown-Tioga neighborhood in Philadelphia. This initiative aimed to uplift the community in light of the tragic explosion that occurred on June 30, which resulted in the loss of one life and left several individuals seriously injured and displaced. The distribution provided essential Thanksgiving meals and promoted solidarity and support among the community members during a challenging time. The event served as a reminder of the resilience of the Nicetown-Tioga community and the importance of coming together in the face of adversity.
