Fresh Start Veterans Program Awarded $25,000 Grant from the Patriot Fund

Fresh Start, a Merakey company, received a $25,000 grant from the Patriot Fund on March 12 at a special check presentation event held at its Philadelphia location. Veterans within Fresh Start’s case management program, who secure permanent housing and complete the program are ideal candidates for Patriot Fund support. This funding will provide essential resources such as household furniture and appliances, transit passes, employment and educational opportunities, and more. Fresh Start was nominated for this grant by Mark Nicoletti, Co-CEO of Philadelphia Suburban Development Corporation and landlord for the building that Fresh Start provides services.

The mission of the Patriot Fund is to provide funding for the critical services Veterans deserve to ensure their lifelong needs are sustained. Presentations of approved grants are a special moment to celebrate the amazing work that will be carried out in support of the Veteran community.
