The Merakey Foundation is proud to provide Impact Grant support to several projects within the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Services (IDD) Division. The Foundation's Impact Grants invest in transformative ideas and scalable solutions that support Merakey's strategic initiatives.
IDD Impact Grant Recipients:
- Altoona and Cresson, PA – Gazebo structures at three residential group homes
- Columbus and Salem, NJ – Kibu modules to encourage physical, nutritional, and mental wellness
- Dubois, PA – Passes to community events that support the Consumer Advisory Group’s goals
- Philadelphia, PA - Wheelchair-accessible swings at residential group homes
- Pine Grove, PA
- Retractable awning on open patio
- Greenhouse and garden triple swing chair
- Pittsburgh, PA
- Amusement park passes and community participation support
- Therapeutic chairs
- Sensory items toolkit and wheelchair swings
- Music therapy classes
- Portage, PA - Amusement park and museum passes and community participation support
- Pottsville, PA - Retractable awning for patio
- Wilmington and Townsend, DE - Kibu modules to encourage physical, nutritional, and mental wellness
Impact Grants are funded by generous donors and fundraising efforts of the Merakey Foundation. Each year, all three programmatic divisions have an opportunity to apply for an Impact Grant. Children & Family Services (CFS) Impact Grant applications are due on March 2, 2026.
