Slippery Rock Program Center had some fun learning about the science of gardening. Megan Kober’s area experimented with a different way to plant strawberries, which was interesting and fun. Rather than buying a seed packet or a small strawberry plant, Megan and the individuals in her group cut strawberries and planted them in soil. Everyone is excited to see if this method of planting works, and they are hoping to see new strawberries sprout soon. While Megan’s area had fun in the soil, Mary’s area had fun in the sun. Mary’s group took advantage of the nice weather and went to Grove City Park for a picnic. Individuals participated in a bean bag toss and enjoyed walking through the park and watching the ducks.
Merakey AVS individuals Cierra, Genny, Wendy, and Kevin had a fantastic evening at A Night to Remember at Discovery Church in Mars, PA. The night was filled with dancing, photos, a red carpet, and so much more! Everyone was so happy to be able to attend the event and have some fun together.
Participants Linda, Suzanne, and Pamela from Buckskin home recently planted a vegetable garden! While they busied themselves planting tomatoes and peppers, the group took turns listening to their favorite music. This group loves working on their annual garden, and they look forward to picking and eating the fresh vegetables once they are ready.
Cierra and Susan have been practicing their photography by spending time outdoors with their cameras. They enjoyed a beautiful day for a hike at Fall Run Park while taking pictures of nature.
