Last week was a busy week at Slippery Rock Program Center. Different areas of the center celebrated various observances and holidays, including May the Fourth Be with You, Cinco de Mayo, and the Kentucky Derby. These spring days have been filled with activities and smiles, and our individuals are loving every minute!
Participants Kevin and Wendy recently had a fun afternoon bowling! They had a blast hitting the lanes and trying out their bowling skills.
Several areas made gifts for the nurses at Merakey Slippery Rock Program Center to show them just how much they are appreciated, especially during Nurses Week. One area made a “Nurse’s Survival Kit” filled with goodies. Another area made homemade planters with potted flowers. They surprised the nurses first thing Monday morning with their gifts, and the nurses were so pleased!
