Each year, Merakey AVS is proud to participate in the prestigious Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Association (PVGPA) vintage motorsport festival. On December 2, the annual check presentation took place, where PVGPA board members, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters from across Pittsburgh, including many from Merakey AVS, gathered to celebrate the unveiling of the check. The 2024 events raised an impressive $350,000 for Merakey AVS and Autism Pittsburgh, contributing to a grand total of $7.1 million raised over the past 42 years.

During the event, M/AVS Senior Executive Director Roni Erath expressed sincere gratitude to the PVGPA and its community for their unwavering support throughout the year. “This incredible generosity has made a lasting impact on the lives of individuals with IDD and autism,” commented Roni. “This is more than just a donation - it’s a powerful reflection of the PVGPA’s deep commitment to our community and the meaningful work we accomplish together.”

Merakey AVS ambassador Kenneth (KK) also shared his passion for cars and mentioned how participating in the parade is one of his favorite events. Additionally, ambassador Tony delivered a speech using his Dynavox device, expressing his gratitude for the amazing opportunities the PVGP has provided to him and his friends.

Since 1983, Merakey AVS has been a proud beneficiary of the PVGPA. We are deeply thankful to the sponsors, donors, volunteers, racers, and supporters whose commitment has made a difference in the lives of those we serve.

Mark your calendars for the 2025 PVGPA events, which will kick off on July 6 and conclude with Race Weekend at Schenley Park on July 19–20. For more information, visit http://www.pvgp.org.
