After a two and a half year wait due to COVID-19, in December 2022, Joseph (Joey) from Merakey Delaware County IDD finally got to explore Walt Disney World. And, on March 8, 2023 his Disney adventures continued! Joseph was very excited when a Cadillac Escalade arrived at his home to escort him and his support staff Keith Trotman for a day of Disney. First they made a stop to Red Lobster, where Joey enjoyed his favorite hot wings. Their second stop was the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, where they excitedly explored "Disney 100: The Exhibition." Joey gave Mickey and Goofy a high five as he explored the special exhibition which shared the history of Disney from the past 100 years. Throughout his exploration, Joey pointed out his favorite characters and sang a few songs. Stay tuned for his next Disney adventure coming this summer.
