To close out Mental Health Awareness Month in May, Merakey’s Mental Health Walk-In Clinic hosted its second annual community fair on May 29. The event was intended to raise awareness, recognition, and offer support for individuals and families with mental health needs. The fair, organized in partnership with the Merakey Foundation and Philadelphia radio station 100.3 RnB, included free health screenings, food, music, giveaways, games and more. Thanks to CBS 3 news for promoting the event and to 6ABC Action News for stopping by to highlight all the activities.
The Merakey Mental Health Walk-In Clinic opened its doors in September 2024 and represents Philadelphia’s first and only behavioral health urgent care for adults (18+) needing same-day mental health care that is not an emergency.
Recently, the Clinic won three “2026 Philly Favorites” awards including the Gold award for Best Mental Health Services and Best Nonprofit Organization, and the Silver award for Best Urgent Care/Walk-In Clinic.
