In November of 2018, Jon Leese and Randy Janney wanted to help a child in need and possibly adopt down the line. Less than a month later, the day after Christmas, they received a call for an emergency placement of three sisters. Jon and Randy were so happy to give them a home and immediately fell in love with all three children.
The couple said that the first three weeks of having the kids were the hardest, being this was their first time fostering children. But, once a routine and structure were in place, things ran a lot smoother. The girls had a goal of reunification with their biological parents, and Jon and Randy supported them by taking them to regular visits.
In October of 2020, parental rights were terminated, and the adoption process began. Six months later, on May 14, 2021, the adoption was finalized and the three girls had a forever home. Jon, Randy, and the three girls make a beautiful family together. Both Jon and Randy’s extended families have fallen in love with the girls as well and are so happy they have joined the family. What a wonderful outcome!
