Years with Merakey

Elise Tretola, Senior Vice President for IDD Services, found her calling to support people with developmental disabilities more than two decades ago, after developing programs for children in Brazil. In 1999, Elise founded Allies, Inc., a not-for-profit organization with operations throughout the State of New Jersey serving people with disabilities. As the Founder and CEO of Allies, Elise built a large and diverse organization that provides services to individuals with disabilities including housing development, residential and employment services, development of social enterprises, fundraising/community awareness, and financial literacy. Over time, Elise grew Allies to include services in Colorado and Delaware through the acquisition of three affiliate partners, providing a diversified portfolio of services to thousands of individuals with developmental disabilities.
