On September 16, Merakey Allegheny Valley School welcomed United Way volunteers for a day of sprucing up the Pittsburgh Campus grounds. The volunteers worked hard to stain several benches around the site. Now people can relax and enjoy a good conversation and/or a snack with other Merakey friends on the new and improved sitting areas. The United Way connects corporate volunteers to help with basic needs and assist non-profit agencies throughout Allegheny, Butler, Westmoreland, Fayette and Armstrong counties.
