In March, we shared the inspirational story about Khalil, a high school student in Merakey’s Philadelphia Autism Center, who has taken the skills learned at school and worked with his father to create a small business at home making t-shirts. Through his excellent work ethic and persistence for perfection, Khalil was able to transfer the skills taught in our school-based autism and job readiness programs to successfully become a young entrepreneur at home.

To support Khalil’s vision of growing his business and to show others that living with autism is a gift, his support team worked with Philadelphia’s Fox 29 news to feature Reed My Heart.
