Three New Jersey Direct Support Professionals are among the first to receive the NADD-DSP Certification after participating in a pilot program and passing the certification test. Congratulations to Bernard Shaw (who scored 100% on the exam), Talitha Hobson, and Arthur Kitt for this significant achievement.
Credentialed by the National Association of Dual Diagnoses (NADD), this training was piloted in New Jersey and in Pittsburgh, with staff from various positions. Eight more DSPs from New Jersey are scheduled to begin the program in January, with the intent to expand in other states thereafter.
Special thanks to Merakey’s trainers Barry William, Marie Pawloski, and Rebecca Mitchell, who helped develop the course. Additional thanks to the program team who helped implement the training, including Samantha Dayton, Stephanie Napoleon, Tim Barksdale, Robin VanEerden, Marie Dube, Brandi Kruse and Karie Lyons.
