The ladies from Ewings Mill 2 and Administrator Stacey Speer spent a fall day at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium.
Janna has a great passion for swimming and has missed it during the pandemic. She recently got the chance to finally get back to an indoor aquatics center. Janna is very independent in the water and will float herself without assistance and flip over to do several underwater strokes. Swimming is an activity that makes Janna feel free and happy, while exercising her muscles.
This week, the Friendship Circle of Pittsburgh, along with the Jewish Residential Services of Pittsburgh and Merakey, participated in a virtual Hanukkah celebration. Friends shared something that brought them joy and light over the past year and watched a video about Hanukkah traditions. Gift bags were given out with a silver menorah and a candle-making activity. Everyone voted for their favorite lekach, a honey-sweetened cake made traditionally during Jewish holidays. Almost everyone voted for the delicious sweet lekach and the jelly lekach.
